Creative Canvas Kids
Dates:
Mondays September 15, 22, 29, October 6, November 17, 24, December 1, 8
Thursdays October 16, 23, 30, November 6
Time: 4-6pm (2 hours/session)
Ages: 6-12
Instructor: Summer Breeze
Cost: $25/session (or purchase a 6 for the price of 5 at $125)
In this 2-hour weekly drop-in paint group, kids will tackle a weekly theme in their own style on canvas while artist-instructor Summer Breeze offers assistance, guidance and coaching. Themes will be decided the week before and kids that attend regularly will have input on the themes. Themes may range from magical/mythical creatures, abstract landscapes, portraits and more. Though we will touch on painting theory as the need arrises, the goal of this group is to offer a safe space for art-minded kids to explore their creative painting process with assistance available where needed.
All supplies included, but feel free to bring along photos for reference and/or any unique images or materials that you may want to include. We will have a short movement break midway through the class, feel free to pack a light snack and water bottle for your child. Please note this class is suitable for kids and teens that are comfortable working mostly independently and able to focus on a single project for a sustained period of time (1.5-2 hours).
No need to pre-register as this is a drop-in style class however there will be a limit of 8 kids allowed per session.
