Paper Mache Pets Ages 5-8
Paper Mache Pets
Dates: March 17th AND 18th
Time: 9:30-12:30am (3 hours/day)
Ages: 5-8 (currently attending kindergarten)
Instructor: Summer Breeze
Cost: $68 (members discount applies)
Minimum: 4, maximum: 6
In this 2-part class, students will use both supplied and found objects to create their own Paper Mache pet from start to finish. Day-1 will start with kids planning and constructing the frame (or skeleton) for their pet and end off as we get messy with paper mache. Day-2 will have us touching up any paper mache that needs attention then painting/decorating our pets to completion. Time permitting kids will be able to construct a small “nest” or “bed” for their pet as well.
IMPORTANT: Students must be able to work mostly independently and be comfortable using scissors, glue and paint on their own.
All supplies included, but feel free to bring along photos for reference and/or any unique images or materials that you may want to include. We will have a short movement break midway through the class, feel free to pack a light snack and water bottle for your child.
