Playful Palettes

Mondays September 22, 29, October 6, November 17, 24, December 1, 8
Thursdays October 16, 23, 30, November 6
Time: 6:30-9pm (2.5 hours/session)
Ages: 13+
Instructor: Summer Breeze
Cost: $25/session, members save 10%
In this weekly drop-in style paint group, participants are invited to either bring a paint project from home or to tackle a theme in their own style on canvas while artist-instructor Summer Breeze offers assistance, guidance and coaching. Participants will be encouraged to paint at their own speed and in their own style as well as to try new styles! Though we will touch on painting theory as the need arrises, the goal of this group is to offer a safe space for art-minded individuals to explore their creative painting process with assistance available where needed. Beginners welcome, come join a budding community of painters here in Elkford!
Basic supplies for Acrylic painting are included, and the instructor will have canvas available at cost (if needed. Feel free to bring along photos for reference and/or any unique images or materials that you may want to include. We will have a short movement break midway through the class, feel free to pack a light snack and water bottle. Please note this class is suitable for teens and adults that are comfortable working mostly independently and able to focus on a single project for a sustained period of time (1.5-2.5 hours).
No need to pre-register as this is a drop-in style class however there will be a limit of 12 people allowed per session.
